Sleepless nights for Nate as he agonises over what to leave behind...

"My Nuclear Bunker Discs. First off, let me just say, that this was no easy task, and if you were to ask me next week, I'd probably give you a different answer.
Trying to narrow down to 5, is impossible. It's like asking me to choose between my children, just not fair really. I have so many albums that I need in my life and my moods and tastes change constantly.
So, here are my 5 as of today, in no particular order. I tried to think of albums that could be used in different situations, as music is a vital part to my life. I need it for everything."
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Howl.
It's one of my all time favorite albums. It's got a bit of everything, which always keeps it fresh and interesting. One of my all time favorite bands, and it's one of my "safety blanket" albums. I listen to this in all moods, but really love this under the stars.
Rolling Stones - Beggars Banquet.
This is my favorite stones album (just barely, as I love all the Brian Jones era albums). The main reason I chose this one, is in memory of my father. That, and it's just an amazing record...Sympathy for the Devil, Jigsaw Puzzle, Street Fighting Man, etc. Songs I can't live without...even though I can't live without a lot of Stones songs.
Syd Barrett - An Introduction To Syd Barrett.
Sorta cheating with this one, as it's not a real album, but I figure, this way I'm getting Syd's Floyd era and Syd's solo work all in one. He is one of the, if not the biggest influences artistically for me. I paint to him...write to him...dream to him. He really is my biggest inspiration. Cherish him and his art, forever. Locked inside.
Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde.
Difficult to pick one Dylan album, but I had to take this one. And for sure would have to be the mono version as well. With it's wide range of style and it's amazing composition and song writing. Just a masterpiece. Great for sunny afternoons, rainy days, sunday mornings and late nights...an anytime album for me.
The rest of my collection. ha. Oh ok then, Howlin' Wolf - Chess Box. I have to have blues with me and The Wolf is my man. Certainly love my british blues, John Mayall and Peter Green's Mac, etc. and I almost chose one of those here, but really, I had to strip it back a bit. Can't live with out my "Commit a Crime", "Smokestack Lightnin", "Spoonful", "Little Red Rooster", etc.
"I'd have to try and sneak in a couple of others...Hendrix - Axis, Led Zep 1, Love - Forever Changes, Doors- s/t, Tame Impala, Jonestown - Thank God for Mental Illness, Country Joe and the Fish - Electric Music for the Mind and Body." Nate! We like your style...Nathan J Barrett's 12 Nuclear Bunker Discs... Rulebreaking & dedication to the cause.
