#1. THE VELVET UNDERGROUND. LOADED -
The Velvets have been a life-changing moment, they have changed my perception of music and somewhat laid the foundation of who I am. This is probably their most underrated record but the most poetic and daintiest in my book. A very mature album that includes two of my favorite tunes: "Oh Sweet Nuthin'" and "I Found A Reason". I love all Velvets albums but this is the one I most listen to.
#2. THE JESUS & MARY CHAIN. PSYCHOCANDY -
The band that turned noise into beauty. Jim Reid's dazzling vocals, killer guitars and genius lyrics. Perfect!
#3. ROWLAND S.HOWARD. TEENAGE SNUFF FILM -
The quintessence of longing by my all time favorite guitarist . His lyrics are ablaze with beauty and his guitar work is "indelible as scars". It is like the X ray of a lovelorn howling soul. Unflinching as hell.
#4. BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE. METHODRONE - The soundtrack of (half) my life. Existence, love and other complications crammed into a rough diamond. This record was a major eye-opener, the rest is history...
#5. THE WARLOCKS . HEAVY DEAVY SKULL LOVER - A much eventful journey into the heart of darkness, this is the most radical and coherent work of my favorite band of the past ten years, which encloses the mystifying "Moving Mountains", or how a song beats prescription drugs.
