Angels with Manky Faces

Angels with Manky faces MaD Theatre Company Manchester Library Theatre 17th – 22nd August 2009

Set in the streets and gin shops of Ancoats in 1894, Angels with Manky Faces tells the story of Manchester's first youth cult - The Scuttlers.

With a filmic backdrop by Paul Cliff - bringing the bustle of Manchester′s Victorian slums thumping into life alongside a pulsating Madchester soundtrack - the play is packed with Mancunian humour and swagger.

Tin Can went down to Manchester's Library Theatre to meet Writer and Director Rob Lees, and Photograher and Film maker Paul Cliff. See below for our exclusive video interview.
